Calvin Newton is 79 and has been singing Gospel music for over 60 years, and sounds as good today as he did 50 years ago.  He’s a member of the Gaither Homecoming Family, appearing on many of the Gaither videos and concerts.

He has been inducted into the GMA Hall of Fame, both as a member of the Blackwood Brothers and the Oak Ridge Boys, and was presented the Living Legend Award by the Grand Old Gospel Reunion in 2000.

He has been a member of the Blackwood Brothers and Oak Ridge Boys; but by far the most outstanding group, in every respect, he was ever privileged to be a part of was the Sons of Song.

He feels blessed immeasurably to be able to still be singing for the Lord at this time of his life.
